In front of the Aiguilles d’Arves and at the foot of the Etendard glacier, at an altitude of 1,600 metres, Saint Sorlin d’Arves is a convivial, authentic village, with so much going for it, the calm and tranquillity of its little hamlets, a baroque church, chapels, farms, the slopes connected to France’s 4th biggest ski area: Les Sybelles and its extensive summer activities.

The village is family-friendly with an excellent ski-school and benefits from an all-year-round community, having a village school, a church and a wide choice of restaurants and shops.

The village is easily accessible from Geneva, Lyon or Torino airport – just 2 h15 minutes’ drive – and at less than 2 hours from Grenoble this airport is even closer. Chambery airport is another option in the winter months at just 80 minutes’ drive and taking your car is easy too, with a journey time of around just 8 hours from Calais.

From 1500 m to 2620 m altitude, 310 kilometres of slopes, Saint Sorlin d’Arves connects to France’s 4th biggest ski area: Les Sybelles. Connecting the 6 resorts of the Massif de l’Arvan-Villard : Saint Sorlin d’Arves, Le Corbier, Saint Jean d’Arves, La Toussuire, Les Bottières, Saint Colomban des Villards.

Saint Sorlin d’Arves is the highest point of the Sybelles and has an excellent skiable and optimum snow. The Alpine environment is also ideal for other mountain sports and winter hiking to the Pic de l’Etendard (3464m), the glacier de Saint Sorlin, or les Cimes du Grand Sauvage. With 310 km of ski slopes, rising to 2600 metres, there is something for everyone, offering skiing and boarding for all abilities from first-time skiers to the most experienced. For thrill-seekers, the snow park is geared to accommodate both beginners and advanced.
